Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

WorkOptional.ai LLC ("WorkOptional", "we", "us") is a Delaware limited liability company with a mailing address at 767 Broadway, Suite 1888, New York, NY 10003. We publish the East/West AI Insider on Beehiiv, run the global WO Meetup network, operate the Masterclass masterclass in Bangkok, and syndicate accredited deal flow under WO Capital.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver the things you ask us for.

Newsletter signups. Email address, source page, signup timestamp. Stored at Beehiiv.
Meetup RSVPs. Whatever Meetup.com passes to us when you RSVP. Name and city, typically.
Masterclass applications. Name, firm, role, AUM range, country, contact details, and anything you write in the application form.
WO Capital access requests. Name, firm, accreditation status, and the verification documents you submit.
Analytics. Page views, country-level location, device class, and referrer, via privacy-preserving analytics on workoptional.ai. We do not run advertising trackers.
Email correspondence. If you write to team@workoptional.ai, we retain the thread.

3. How we use it

We use the data to send you the newsletter you subscribed to, to operate Meetups and Masterclass, to review WO Capital access requests, and to reply when you contact us. We do not sell your data. We do not rent your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Who processes data on our behalf

Beehiiv (email delivery), Meetup.com (events), Stripe (any paid registrations), Google Workspace (email and documents), Lovable.dev (website hosting), and Namecheap (domain). Each of these vendors is bound by their own privacy terms.

5. Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. You can request a copy of, or deletion of, the data we hold by emailing team@workoptional.ai. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA. Same email works.

6. Retention

Newsletter records: until you unsubscribe, then 30 days. Masterclass and WO Capital application data: 24 months from last interaction unless you ask us to delete sooner. Email correspondence: 36 months.

7. Children

WorkOptional.ai is for capital allocators. Nothing on this site is directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Material changes are announced in the newsletter.
